Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel at 8:00am and you will drive west for Maasai Mara Game Reserve with lunch enroute. You will arrive in time for an evening game drive. Masai Mara game reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara Game Reserve

    After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel at 8:00am and you will drive west for Maasai Mara Game Reserve with lunch enroute. You will arrive in time for an evening game drive. Masai Mara game reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although July, August and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge

  • Day 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve

    After breakfast proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool looking out for hippos and crocodile. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

  • Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park

    You will have an early morning game drive, return to the lodge / camp for breakfast before checking out and departing for Lake Nakuru National Park which is located in the Great Rift Valley, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch go for an exciting game drive until 6.30 in the evening. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 birds’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White and Black Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe. Dinner and overnight at Camp / Lodge.

  • Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park – Samburu National Reserve

    After breakfast, proceed on a game drive in the nearby Lake Nakuru National Park, the abode of various water birds that breed in the lake’s alkaline waters including flamingo. White rhino, Rothschild’s giraffe, and plains game are other species encountered while Waterbuck and cape buffalo are common on the lake-shore. Depart for Samburu Game Reserve via the Thomson falls and Nanyuki arriving in Samburu the evening. Dinner and overnight are at the Samburu lodge.

  • Day 5: Full Day Samburu National Reserve

    You will have a morning and afternoon game drive including outings at dawn, when animals are most active and in the afternoon, when the light is best for photography. Return to the lodge for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This day you stay close to the Ewaso Nyiro River, where vast herds of plains game come to water, braving lions in the grass, leopards in the trees, and giant crocodiles. The stars of Samburu not easily seen elsewhere are the liver-red reticulated giraffe, the long-necked gerenuk antelopes, and the elegant grevy’s zebra. Dinner and overnight are at the samburu game Lodge.

  • Day 6: Samburu National Reserve – Nairobi

    Pre-morning game drive till around 8:30 am. Later the driver will bring you to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast depart for Nairobi with lunch enroute arriving in the evening drop at the hotel, or at the airport to connect your flight back home.
